As our first Sales Engineer, you will shape the foundation of our sales team and strategy. This role involves close collaboration with our product development and engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our rapidly expanding customer base. You will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of our emerging market and will contribute significantly to our strategic sales initiatives.

Elinor Batteries is on a rapid growth trajectory. As our new Sales Engineer, you will be a pivotal player in a compact team, driving forward our mission to innovate within the battery industry. Your role will not only be about addressing today’s challenges but also shaping tomorrow’s solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced people in our existing team and use your experience and expertise to shape our future sales organization and make a significant impact on a sustainable future.

Some of your key responsibilities in this role will be

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. You will be the face of Elinor Batteries to our clients, understanding their needs, identifying and scoping their requirements, and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Understand the dynamics of this emerging and developing market, and help develop strategies that align with our company’s growth objectives.
  • Sales Solution Customization: Tailor sales proposals and contracts to meet specific customer needs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and expectations.
  • Sales and Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support during the sales process, enhancing customer understanding and satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Oversee processes to ensure our products meet rigorous quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Project Coordination: Work seamlessly with internal teams to ensure smooth transition of sales processes to project execution.

The European battery market is in its infancy. Our goal is to develop this market and provide the battery solutions that Europe needs and requires while being at the frontline of ESG requirements. Your effort will contribute to the green transition by developing batteries for the energy systems of the future.

Who are you?

The ideal candidate for the Sales Engineer position will have at least 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar role, with a strong background in sales engineering and development. This experience is preferably gained within sectors such as battery technology, grid, utility, or power generation. You should hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Essential skills for this role include exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, the capability to manage complex projects, and effective multitasking. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage. Personally, you should be independent and proactive, thriving in a dynamic environment, with innate problem-solving abilities and a talent for building relationships.
