There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. To strengthen our team, Aker Solutions in Stavanger is looking for a Telecom Engineer who can help us succeed.

What will you be doing?

Main tasks given in PEM role description ‘Discipline engineer – Telecom’.
Preform all needed activities related to global design phase within Telecom as discipline engineer
Create work package within Telecom as discipline engineer
Doing follow-on and As-built activities within Telcom as discipline engineer
Act as deputy Discipline Lead within Telecom when needed

We think you should have some of the following:

Do you have MSc, BSc, Technical College, or other relevant education and experience
Minimum 2 year experienced engineer
Relevant experience and broad knowledge of deliverables within Telecommunications for the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and Equinor's technical requirements in addition to NORSOK standards.
Network design skills, including fiber optic and network cabling.
Installation experience
Personal Qualities: Accurate and organized, service minded, ability to work independently, teamworking skills.
Understand and follow activity schedules
Being able to take initiative, be flexible and motivate others.
Software Skills: Project spesific
Available for work in Norway
Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English and team player
