Our client in Oslo is looking for a Senior Purchaser. You will support the tenders and projects on all purchasing related tasks, you will prepare and evaluate offer to be presented and discussed with tender/project team. During Project execution, ensure high quality delivery, efficient project execution and minimum variations and claims by close follow up of internal stakeholders, suppliers, contracts and deliveries. Ensure good coordination with all tender & project teams; establish and maintain Procurement Plans. The duration of the project is 12 months, and we are looking for someone with similar experience from the Oil and Gas industry.

To succeed as Senior Purchaser you have at least 5 working years’ experience in a project setting. You have worked in companies that are project driven, and have activities related to purchasing and tenders projects. You have experience working domestically or internationally and in a multicultural setting. You will be comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects. You have experience preparing and managing procurement plans, defining purchasing strategies, negotiating and following up contracts. Good communication skills is essential to ensure good information flow across different disciplines and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Master degree in Engineering , Business or Supply Chain or extensive experience with large marine operations subcontracts and eager to learn the purchasing part
5 years working in a project setting
3 years of relevant procurement and purchasing experience
In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you are proactive and eager to learn and improve.
Fluent in English and preferably Nowegian, written and oral
Preferably (not mandatory) QHSER experience from marine and/or land-based industry
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
