Are you a skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager ready to take on a consulting assignment? Jefferson Wells is seeking someone to join our team for a 12-month consulting engagement in Oslo, Norway. We are primarily looking for candidates with similar experience from the Oil & Gas industry.
Position Overview:
As a Tender/Project Purchasing Manager, you will be integral to our procurement operations, overseeing all purchasing activities for multiple tenders and projects. In this role, you will collaborate with category managers and project teams to develop purchasing strategies that align with project requirements and company procedures. Your responsibilities will include managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with client and legal specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement plans for various tenders and projects, ensuring strategic supplier engagement and cost-effective purchasing.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with contractual requirements and company policies throughout the procurement process.
- Maintain robust supplier relations, manage negotiations, and handle supplier performance to achieve project goals and savings.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, contributing to team meetings and project execution, while maintaining high standards of procurement ethics and compliance.
Tools and Technology:
Proficient in creating purchase orders and managing invoices using SAP and Basware according to organizational protocols.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English.
- A Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain is preferred. Extensive experience in relevant positions may compensate for formal education.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain with a track record of successful negotiations and commercial achievements.
- Strong negotiation skills, including experience with LRN, e-auctions, negotiation strategies, and physical auctions.
- Familiarity with various Sourcing and e-sourcing platforms.
- Proficiency in SAP is mandatory.
- Knowledge of BI & Ariba is an advantage.
