We are looking for a Package Responsible Engineer to strengthen our Mechanical department in Oslo. As a Senior Engineer you will act as the Package Responsible Engineer for the procurement of various Material Handling Equipment packages. These include Offshore/Onshore Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Winches, and Off-loading systems for Offshore Wind, Oil & Gas and Renewable Projects.

About the position

As a Package Responsible Engineer overseeing the procurement of Material Handling Equipment such as cranes. Your role will be preparing equipment specifications in collaboration with layout discipline, evaluate supplier quotations, and serve as the technical point of contact with suppliers, customers, and other disciplines. Additionally, you’ll oversee inspections, testing, and equipment installation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and timely delivery of equipment and documentation.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Prepare and distribute equipment specifications and datasheets
  • Serve as the technical point of contact with suppliers, customers, and other technical disciplines

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in design/delivery of material handling equipment such as cranes
  • Experienced with multidisciplinary engineering in Crane Suppliers or EPC Contractors
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD softwares
  • Familiar with relevant international codes, NORSOK , Norwegian acts and regulations
