The Market Intelligence department is dedicated to enhancing our understanding and navigating the complex energy landscape.

• We deliver accurate and comprehensive Nordic power price prognoses spanning from day-ahead forecasts to projections up to three years ahead.
• We manage a portfolio of market models as product owners. These models are enhanced, maintained, and operate in close cooperation with Hydro internal IT resources.
• We conceptualize and develop flexible IT solutions and decision support tools within our core business domain, enabling commercial excellence for todays and future energy markets.

Our mission is clear: optimize & streamline operations by reducing complexity wherever feasible. We achieve this through the development of robust, self-sufficient models and systems with built-in redundancies.

• Provide strategic direction, support, and guidance to our dynamic team.

• Optimize and customize analysis models to enhance forecasting capabilities and analytical insights, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation in the energy sector.
• Facilitate the prioritization process for digital development projects within Energy Markets.

Desired qualifications

• Higher education in relevant fields such as technology, mathematics, or economics.
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions and navigate challenges with confidence and resilience.
• Successfully led cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration and driving results
• A strong commercial drive and understanding of business dynamics and markets trends within the renewable industry and specifically the Nordic power markets.
