Britannia Hotel reopened on April 1, 2019, following a 3-year complete renovation. This historic hotel boasts 223 rooms and suites, six restaurants and bars, a full-service spa, fitness center, ballroom, and stunning conference areas. Recognized by Fodor's as Norway's best hotel, Britannia is a proud member of Leading Hotels of the World, where we proudly hold the title of the world's northernmost Grand Dame and 5-star hotel.

We are now hiring two full-time chefs (Chef de partie). Our kitchen team consists of 11 chefs and is led by Håkon Solbakk. In this position, you will have responsibility for your own station with your own commis (apprentice).
Speilsalen is open from Wednesday to Saturday. Our chefs will also have 9 weeks of holidays each year.


Responsibilities

  • Daily production
  • Following daily routines related to HSE/food safety
  • Service during the day and evening hours (according to schedule)
  • Participating in serving and communicating with guests

Qualifications

  • Certificate and trained chef
  • Proficiency in English or a Scandinavian language both orally and in writing.

Britannia Hotel first opened its doors to glamorous guests in 1870, offering a bustling environment in magnificent surroundings. The hotel became a meeting point for everyone from merchants and politicians to some of the world's earliest salmon tourists. It was a cornerstone of Trondheim and one of Scandinavia's most prominent hotels.
Trondheim's historic pride was redefined over a three-year period, rebuilt, and reopened on April 1, 2019. The name BRITANNIA carries weight, and the determination behind the endeavor is unwavering. Owner Odd Reitan aims to provide Trønders with a new grand venue to be proud of, and everyone else with a destination in itself. Britannia Hotel stands as an international five-star hotel and is one of Scandinavia's finest full-service and spa hotels. With six distinct restaurant concepts, including Palmehaven, a cocktail bar, lounges, a large catering, banquet, and event department, Britannia Hotel is truly a "House of Celebration."

Britannia Hotel åpnet først sine dører for glamorøse gjester i 1870 og var et yrende miljø i storslåtte omgivelser. Hotellet ble et møtepunkt for alt fra handelsmenn og politikere til historiens første lakseturister. En hjørnestein i Trondheim og et av Skandinavias mest prominente hoteller. 
Trondheims gamle stolthet ble under periode på tre år definert på ny, gjenreist og åpnet igjen 01. april 2019.
Navnet BRITANNIA forplikter og viljen bak satsningen er kompromissløs. Eieren Odd Reitan ønsker å gi Trønderne en ny storstue å være stolt av, og alle andre skal få et reisemål i seg selv.
Britannia Hotel fremstår som et internasjonalt femstjerners hotel og  er ett av Skandinavias beste fullservice- og spahotel.
