We are now seeking a Chief Project Officer to join the top leadership team of the company, reporting to the CEO, with responsibility for all technical functions in Rein including Technology and Engineering, Sustainability, Procurement, HSE, Project Delivery, and Operations.

Responsibilities
The Project function provides technical expertise, project execution and operations services to all of Hydro Rein's business units. Its teams of technical, sustainability, HSE, procurement, project delivery and operations experts are involved from the development stage to managing project delivery and operations.

Your main responsibilities will be, either directly (in projects led by Rein) or through due diligence, quality assurance and active monitoring of partners (in projects led by others), to:

  • Provide EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) services for projects:
    • Engineering, resource assessment and optimization, quality management and technical support in operations
    • Procurement, contracts negotiation, supplier management, market intelligence on key equipment and services
    • Project delivery, including risk management and project control
  • Provide sustainability services:
    • Risk screening and sustainability strategy in development phase
    • Sustainability action plan implementation and compliance during construction and operations
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards across all projects and assets
  • Provide Operations & Maintenance and technical asset management services
    • Define, implement and manage the O&M strategy for all assets
    • Monitor and improve technical performance for all assets
    • Develop monitoring and optimization tools
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve global standards, policies, and procedures in project governance, HSE, sustainability, procurement and other related functional topics.

You set ambitious goals, monitor progress, commit to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards - through a collaborative approach to project management, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation.

A true leader, you work through your people and empower them by providing autonomy and creating ownership, leading as a coach by providing clarity on goals and expectations.

You have great communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas, project updates and required decisions in a clear and concise manner.

You are driven by values, you have a passion for building teams and organizations, and uncompromising integrity and commitment to our vision to decarbonize industries.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years' experience in project management in a relevant industry, preferably wind, solar, energy, infrastructure or other capex intensive industries.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies, and comprehensive knowledge of HSE and sustainability requirements. Understanding how you can leverage a digital ecosystem in construction and operations is a must.
  • Prior leadership experience and a proven track record of leading through leaders. If you have done so for a renewable company operating in Europe or Brazil, it's a plus.
  • Master's degree, preferably in Engineering
  • Fluent in English. Scandinavian language and/or Portuguese is an added advantage

Additional information
The preferred location for the position is Oslo, Norway. Strong applications from Rio, Brazil can also be considered.
