The work:
Imagine one day you may be on a visit to a Norwegian fjord to investigate an intermittent problem with a 2-metre-tall robot that uses vacuum technology to moor a ship, discussing with ships' crews to understand the problems they have, then investigating on site and working with experts around the world to resolve the problem. Then your next job may be to implement an improvement to a ship-charging machine, which could be based in the center of a city making a customer nervous to ensure the machine always performs well. Timing, quality, customer involvement - the situation creates pressure, and when you get the job done you get a level of satisfaction rarely matched.

The Role as FST:

• Determine causes of operating errors and provide maintenance troubleshooting and problem solving in a timely and efficient manner, empowering customer satisfaction.
• Build customer relationship in a professional manner through solution-oriented communications and service, providing both on-site and telephone support.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, spare parts, and management groups to resolve escalated problems.
• Provide written service & expense reports to the Service Manager on all activities carried out on site and complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures at all times. Develop and maintain safe habits and practices regarding safety requirements on site and report any breaches or concerns on health and safety matters to the Service Manager.
• Assist the parts department with recommended spare parts to existing and new customers.
• Contribute hitting company's service sales targets.

Requirements:

• Proven maintenance hands-on experience on electro-mechanical equipment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English and Norwegian
• Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical and/or PLC knowledge
• Team Player, resiliency, and adaptability
