We are looking for a skilled Technical Safety Engineer!

Due to increased workload within the QHSE and Technical Safety discipline, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Bergen! Job Description

• Implementing fire and gas safety measures, including active and passive fire protection, detection, and area classification.

• Developing and executing shutdown philosophies.

• Managing barriers in alignment with safety strategies and performance standards.

• Facilitating risk assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, Change & Constructability analysis, Design Review, and Change analysis.

• Participating in studies and project execution within the Technical Safety domain.

• Ensuring a safe technical work environment through design reviews and specifications.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Safety or related field.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Technical Safety or relevant engineering roles.

• Equivalent experience in engineering may compensate for the lack of higher education.

Experience/Knowledge:

• Proficiency in IT systems and tools.

• Familiarity with various methods of risk assessment, a significant aspect of the role.

• Preferably, experience with Mobile Offshore Units, including inspections and yard stays.

• Knowledge of relevant standards such as NORSOK S-001, NORSOK S-002, Petroleum Safety Authority Norway, and Norwegian Maritime Authority regulations.

• Understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.

• Strong technical safety awareness with a focus on working and external environments.

• Experience in drilling-related activities is advantageous.
