Your role

As our Communications Advisor, you'll oversee the implementation and execution of communication strategies, covering media relations, crisis management, content development, branding, and external activities - all geared towards driving benefit realization.

Some of your tasks;

  • Provide functional support and advice on strategic media issues to the management team.
  • Create communication strategies and plans, holding statements, development of storyline and key messages and relevant Q&A’s.
  • Responsibility for content and running the company website and other channels.
  • Handling visits and other external engagements as part of benefit realization.
  • Manage and maintain visual branding material and content.
  • Provide emergency response/crisis management coordination and support.
  • Proactively build company reputation in the media to achieve fair and balanced coverage.


What we need from you?

The Northern Lights team operates with a "one team" and a strong new business mentality with support from shareholders both directly and through various Service Agreements. You will need to be willing and able to challenge conventional thinking and approaches to arrive at innovative, fit for purpose and effective business outcomes.


More specifically you are

While we do not anticipate every requirement to be met, possessing experience in energy, climate, or sustainability, as well as demonstrating resilience in navigating uncertainty and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, would be advantageous.


Qualifications

  • University degree within relevant field
  • Experience from media relations, communication and/or crisis management
  • Proven ability to write and articulate well in English
  • Crisis Management and Emergency response experience.

Flexibility for occasional travel to fulfil job duties is required from time to time.

Northern Lights JV is responsible for developing and operating CO2 transport and storage facilities, open to third parties, as part of Longship, the Norwegian Government’s full-scale carbon capture and storage project. When it starts operations in 2024, it will be the first ever cross-border, open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure network, shipping CO2 to an onshore receiving terminal at Øygarden on the Norwegian west coast, before being transported by pipeline for permanent storage in a reservoir 2,600 metres under the seabed.
Northern Lights JV DA is a registered, incorporated General Partnership with Shared Liability (DA) owned equally by Equinor, Shell and TotalEnergies.
