Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.
Aker Solutions is looking for a Technical Safety & Environment Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Trondheim and will be led from there.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute technical safety deliverables within projects.
- Establish and update safety philosophies and strategies.
- Prepare design specifications, detail engineering, and reports for technical safety systems/equipment, area classification, shutdown, fire & gas detection, fire protection, escape and evacuation, etc.
- Prepare and update safety documents and drawings.
- Provide input to procurement packages and follow up with suppliers.
- Assess risk levels for different solutions using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Plan and conduct safety design reviews such as HAZID, safety assessments, and ALARP assessments.
Skills and Levels Description:
- Relevant education at BSc or MSc level in science or engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in technical safety engineering within the Norwegian Oil & Gas industry or similar sectors.
- Fluent in both written and spoken Norwegian and English.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations, including NORSOK S-001, S-002, S-003.
- Familiarity with other relevant industry standards.
- Proactive with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
