reMarkable creates hardware and software products that help people all over the world find focus. We launched our original reMarkable 1 paper tablet in 2017. Since then, we’ve sold more than 2 million devices, grown to over 450 employees, and transformed from a small startup to a fast-growing scale-up. Following the successful launch of the reMarkable 2, which was named one of TIME's top 100 inventions of 2020, our subscription service Connect in 2021, and the Type Folio in 2023, we've set ourselves exciting growth and product development goals for the coming years.

We are in search of an experienced Senior UX Designer to become a valuable member of our dynamic team, joining us on our ambitious growth strategy and product development plans. You’ll be an essential part in designing intuitive and engaging user experiences, contributing significantly to our mission of making a real difference in people's lives by helping them to think better.

About the role

As a Senior UX designer, you will play a central role in shaping the customer journey across our platforms and ensuring the best user experience for all our customers on our web surfaces. In this role you will work with the interaction between hardware and software. Your tasks will include exploration, early stage discovery, development of new features, and participation in projects across different areas of the organization.

As a senior designer at reMarkable, you have the opportunity to influence not only product development, but also your own role and everyday life within the company.

Who are you?

You are a UX designer with experience and expertise in design for digital services, in acting as the users advocate, and in leading cross-functional teams in creative processes. Your “home” at reMarkable will be in the UX design team in the Design department.

These are some characteristics we are looking for in the new UX designer:

  • You have more than three years of higher education and five years of experience, and consider yourself a professional with deep knowledge of the UX design field of study.

  • You thrive in leading creative processes and including multidisciplinary participants in the process.

  • You enjoy making intuitive and consistent solutions to real problems.

  • Experience with filling the operational role as Lead Designer in teams and projects is considered an advantage

As a person, we hope you:

  • Have good communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
