We have a very exciting opportunity as Project Controller, who will be responsible for timely and accurately creating, controlling, and closing projects. This includes actual revenue/cost recognition and revenue/cost forecasting.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Conduct Project reviews per business line on revenue/cost status of projects
  • Ensure Project controls are in place and effective
  • Identify process improvements to provide better financial information and reporting to operational managers and efficiency improvements
  • Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with Emerson CP&P and US GAAP
  • Work closely with the Business Lines to help them understand their business results and answer ad-hoc queries
  • Assist in preparation of monthly forecast and annual budget for the RFM Norway Business
  • Review the monthly financial results and ensure overall data integrity and explain and report on significant variances vs. prior month plan
  • Assist in implementation/improvements of Oracle Business system
  • Support internal/external audit requests

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
  • MBA or advanced Accounting degree/qualification preferred
  • Extensive financial/accounting experience, preferably in an operational environment in a large multinational
  • ERP system aptitude, Oracle Projects Module experience is an advantage. Good Microsoft office (Excel) and general PC skills
  • Fluent in English with good written/oral communication skills
  • Project Accounting and Inventory experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze at both a high and detailed level
  • Self-starter, positive, and ability to learn on the fly
  • Solid understanding of US or IFRS GAAP preferred
