In Group Tax, we aim at executing the group's Tax Strategy with defined strategic objectives. As a member of the team, you will strengthen our tax governance while striking the balance between a sound approach to tax planning and sound tax risk management and ensure proactiveness in how we engage with tax authorities across all business and support areas and jurisdictions where we operate. The right person for this position has insight into a multinational financial group's tax and accounting matters, and a true desire to constantly learn more.

Group Tax is a part of Division Group Financial Reporting, in DNB Group Finance - responsible for the overall financial management and reporting in the DNB Group. Group Tax is both an advisory, reporting and compliance focused function. You should enjoy switching between different ways of working: from complex legal and financial analysis for impact assessment, advice, or reporting, to governance and issuance of internal guidelines. Further on to the development of process maps and training material to non-expert colleagues operationally in charge - always to ensure we cost optimize how we comply with the law and meets internal and external expectations within the tax area.

You are aware of - and able to act according to - the difference between owning risk on the local level and coordinating how risk is evaluated and handled on group level, through impact assessments of reorganizations or tax law changes within different business entities, areas and jurisdictions.

We are looking for a senior tax advisor with expertise and particular insight of Norwegian and international company taxation, withholding tax, transfer pricing and the development of new taxes.

Group Tax is carefully building a diverse team of dedicated and experienced colleagues on taxation in Oslo and Bergen, working closely with resources around DNBs offices, in an exciting, fast-paced environment. You want to take an active part in developing this further.



The senior tax advisor will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and analyzing development in tax law applicable to the group globally as well as locally, carrying out assessments and carry out planning for action or advice no action
  • Produce scenario analysis of business organisation, product, and distribution development
  • Participation in smaller and larger multidisciplinary projects and working groups
  • Development of governance framework, general information and training to the group through relevant information sharing channels and tools, focused on the group's own taxes

Competence Requirements

  • Academic degree in Law
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience from tax advisory with strong international focus
  • Experience from tax advisory and knowledge management and sharing
