Projects & Operations Manager - Construction & Recycling

The Projects & Operations Manager will provide robust project management and operational oversight, ensuring alignment with business strategies. This role involves fostering a highly effective, motivated team to ensure safe, consistent, and profitable project delivery. 

Applicants should possess strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management skills and be able to lead the team to be effective in these competencies. Experience in matrix-managed environments is beneficial. 

The position is based onshore in one of DeepOcean’s offices in Haugesund, Oslo or Stavanger. 

Duties and responsibilities 

• Champion HSEQS values and processes, demonstrating Safety Leadership. 

• Cultivate a high-performing team aligned with organizational objectives. 

• Support team members in navigating cross-business challenges. 

• Manage and mentor Project Managers in project management and delivery strategies. 

• Ensure adherence to Project Model, company standards, processes, and policies. 

• Manage project portfolios within budget, business objectives, HSEQS requirements and meeting client needs. 

• Collaborate with Operations Director and other Projects & Operations Managers for optimized vessel scheduling for the region and group. 

• Plan and chair Monthly Project Reviews to maximize opportunities and minimize risks. 

• Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders. 

• Support tender processes, ensure peer reviews are done by relevant stakeholders and facilitate handovers between Commercial and Projects. 

• Implement innovative technology initiatives within the project portfolio. 

• Seek cost-effective solutions to improve financial performance. 

• Standardize delivery of weekly and monthly project reporting. 

• Optimize scheduling of Project Managers and resources. 

• Develop efficient working relations with other departments. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant field. 

• Minimum 10-12 years relevant experience.  

• Experience with Project Management and contracts within subsea operations or similar. 

• Demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining trusted client relationships.  

• Fluent in Norwegian and English

• Proven self-starter with a motivation to develop high-performing teams. 

• Great leadership skills with a strong commercial mindset. 

• Extensive industry experience and understanding of customer objectives. 

• Proactive thinker with experience in continuous improvement and change management. 

• Results-driven, calm, and organized in a dynamic work environment. 

• Excellent communication skills in Norwegian & English.
