We are expanding our team, in Stavanger, Norway, with a new role to manage the area of Public and Government Relations (PR/GR) across our organization throughout the world. You will spearhead a proactive and strategic approach to PR/GR, be a liaison for our spokespeople across various areas and foster strong relationships with journalists and media. 

What you will be doing 

- Develop and execute our overall strategy for PR/GR, including media relations and messaging strategy  

- Support our key initiatives and spokespeople with their communication needs  

- Support and advise on PR, press, political relations topics and media requests 

- Manage our crisis communication and scenario planning 

- Help coordinate our corporate events such as our presence at Arendalsuka and official visits 

- Conduct research for insights, contribute to content development, and manage media monitoring 

- Support the team on other various activities such as internal events and content development  

Who we envision would fit the role 

Our ideal candidate for this role should be fluent in English (the main working language), possess excellent writing skills in both English and Norwegian, and be able to communicate directly and concisely. You should be a positive, collaborative, and a well-organized team player, with a self-driven and curious nature. 

Desired qualifications: 

- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, or other relevant disciplines 

- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an international organization 

- Prior experience in Journalism, PR, Media Relations, or Corporate Communication teams, with a solid understanding of political and media relations and experience advising on strategic use of PR
