We are located in Stavanger, Bergen, Hammerfest and Poland.
We are now looking for a Principal Piping Engineer to join our team in Stavanger and/or Bergen
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead a team of piping engineers in studies and execution projects.
- Review and approve designed solutions.
- Responsible for the quality of the piping deliveries in the project
- Complete layout and area design responsibility
- Review of budgets and schedules for the piping discipline.
- Design of piping systems and pipe supports.
- Preparation of piping documentation for procurement, prefabrication, installation and asbuilt.
- Preparation of study reports.
- Follow-up of vendors for piping deliveries.
- Follow-up on piping documentation and LCI.
- Carry out offshore field survey.
- Close cooperation with other disciplines and suppliers (project dependencies).Cooperation on optimization of good technical design and cost-effective solution
Qualifications
- Piping discipline lead experience.
- MSc or BSc in a relevant discipline, relevant experience within piping design might compensate for lack of formal education.
- Minimum 10 years of experience from the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of design code ASME B31.3, NORSOK, PED, TR2000 and other Equinor piping requirements.
- Good knowledge of offshore standards / regulations and relevant technical / professional requirements.
- Extensive experience with execution projects and studies (early phase studies, concept studies, FEED.)
- Experience with follow-up of engineering and technical vendors.
- Experience from offshore projects.
- 3D CAD - PDMS/E3D.
- 2D CAD – MicroStation / AutoCAD knowledge.
- Required experience with design of critical piping lines.
- Experience from Equinor M&M is preferred.
- Knowledge of well projects/well systems.
- Multidiscipline knowledge / approach.

- Good Norwegian and English skills, both written and oral.
- Have ability to work independently and in a team.
- Proactive and focused on safety.
- Familiar with prevailing regulations and concerned with multidiscipline problems.
- Good leadership qualities.
