What you’ll be doing

As a Technical Lead at Skyfri, you will play a pivotal role in leading and guiding a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality and innovative software solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of projects, providing technical direction, and ensuring the successful execution of software development initiatives.

In this role, you will

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers.
• Set and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Break down project requirements into tasks and allocate them appropriately among the team.
• Lead the design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to design principles and coding standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Provide guidance on the selection of appropriate technologies for projects.
• Address technical challenges and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Act as a point of escalation for technical issues within the team.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software through rigorous testing and code reviews.
• Implement and improve automated testing processes.

In addition, we need you to:

• Be fluent in English, our working language.
• Live in or in commuting distance to Oslo, Norway.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Work experience of a similar nature may be considered in place of the specified qualifications.
• 6+ years of experience as a software developer, with a strong background in software architecture.
• Strong background working with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure App Service, and Azure SQL Database.
• Proficiency in React and JavaScript.
• Expertise in C# and .NET development for building scalable and maintainable back-end systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
