The position

By joining our team in Projects, Drilling & Procurement you will have the opportunity to:
  • Become a part of a highly operational and dynamic Marine Operations sector which serves projects across business units within seabed survey, shallow geophysics, seabed intervention, metocean measurements, transport and heavy lifting operations, geotechnical engineering, mapping and geospatial services.

  • Develop within the field of External Pipeline Inspection planning and execution for assets in Norway in internationally.

  • Use your competence to execute and deliver on project tasks, working as part of Equinor's core External Pipeline Inspection group, which has a good mix of experience and seniority.

  • Manage pipeline inspection survey data sets for internal and external customers, develop scopes of work, produce cost and delivery estimates, follow acquisition and qaulity assurance and controls datasets to Equinor’s internal procedures.

  • Follow-up offshore work as a company vessel representative (training will be provided).

  • Depending on your background, on occasion you may be asked to support with other activities such as seabed survey tasks.


You

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree within Hydrographic Survey, Seabed Survey or Geophysics. Relevant 5+ years' experience can compensate for formal education. 

  • Experience in acquiring and/or processing external pipeline inspection datasets is essential. 

  • Knowledge of survey data and experience in Navimodel, GIS (ARCPRO) and coding/programming experience is preferred.

  • Experience with offshore survey sensors and survey methods, in deep and shallow water. 

  • Candidates who are up-to-date with technology development. 

  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, cost and operational performance with a tidy structured approach and ability to plan tasks. 

  • A professional level of English, some Norwegian proficiency or a willingness to learn would be beneficial.
