Chief Officer (Oil and Chemical Tanker)

Bergen Tankers is seeking Chief Officer (C/O) for Tanker – Oil Chemical under Norwegian flag (NIS) for trade in European waters.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead deck officers and crew in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and environmental regulations
• Responsible for cargo operations
• Maintain and inspect equipment and systems on deck
• Participate in emergency situations and drills
• Play an active role in developing instructions and procedures
• Assist the Master in vessel operations and navigation
• Maintain vessel's stability
• Acting as the Ship Safety- and Security officer

Qualifications:

• Experience as Chief Officer on oil and chemical tankers
• D2/Oil/Chem advanced-BRM-STCW Safety-Ecdis-GOC
• Familiarity with international maritime rules and regulations
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a team
• Background from tank cleaning operations
• Expertise in SIRE vettings
• Knowledge in working with multicultural crew
• Proficiency in English language
