NOV Energy Equipment (Kristiansand) is seeking an experienced Software Engineer - Developer with the aim of strengthening our team that develops automation and logistics solutions with a new software developer. We are looking for someone with a passion for digitalization and software development. Are you encouraged and motivated to tackle exciting challenges? Do you feel true excitement when you solve a problem or come up with a new solution for something you have been working on?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop software for new applications.
• Support and improve existing frameworks.
• Contribute to design digital solutions to new and existing processes within drilling operations.
• Automate processes to streamline the development.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Cybernetics, Computer science, or similar
• Minimum 2 years’ working experience.
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Relevant experience may compensate for missing education.

Working knowledge in the following fields are required:

• C++/C#
• Scripting (preferable Python)
• Git

Working knowledge in one or more fields is beneficial.

• Container Technology (Docker)
• Database (MongoDB) 
• CMake
• REST API
