A Cabin Manager is an important part of SAS leadership and the actions of frontline management to motivate, guide, support and follow up our excellent cabin crew.

The market is tough, and competition has increased, so it is of utmost importance that we continue to deliver the industry's best customer service on board, of course with safety as our priority.



We are looking for you - a team player -

..who wants to take on the challenge of helping to develop the Oslo base in close cooperation with the head office in Stockholm. The focus is on securing working conditions for our cabin crew to achieve the high standards of safety and customer satisfaction. In your day-to-day leadership, cabin crew are at the center and in focus through strong communication, collaboration and trust.

Your daily workplace is Crew Base Oslo with occasional visits to the head office in Stockholm. Crew Base Oslo currently has approximately 800 full-time equivalents, and more are being recruited. Including you, - there will be five Cabin Managers in Crew Base Oslo. The position reports to the Head of Cabin Crew, who is organizationally located at Stockholm Head Office with regular visits to cabin crew bases. Cabin Manager will be part of the local management team in Crew Base Oslo and part of the management team for the Scandinavian cabin crew



Your main duties will involve:

As a Cabin Manager, you will have personnel responsibility for around 200 cabin crew. Cabin Manager's overall goal is to create the conditions for cabin crew to achieve safety, punctuality, and care objectives, and to provide our customers with competitive customer service. An important focus of your leadership is to ensure that cabin crew have insight and understanding of SAS' operational & financial KPI's, commercial offerings, and customer goals. You need to inspire your group of cabin crew and always keep "employee engagement" in mind. In the role as Cabin Manager, you are responsible for delivery and follow-up, communication, development and change work, competence development activities and recruitment processes.

You are responsible for ensuring that cabin crew have the prerequisites to comply with the standard procedures for SAS Aviation Operations and coordinating scheduling issues with workforce planning.

You will also be responsible for the delegated daily working environment to Oslo Cabin Crew, and thus work with the working environment.

You will be included in a team responsible for sharing an "urgent phone clock".

Your background:
  • You may have experience in aviation management.
  • You can demonstrate skills in "long-distance" management.
  • Working with large volume employee groups.
  • Relevant higher education
  • Good language skills in all Scandinavian languages and English
  • Good IT skills and administrative skills
  • Experience with LEAN work is an advantage.
  • Experience with work environment processes and laws is an advantage

Our premises are partly located within the airport's restricted areas. You must therefore have an exhaustive criminal record certificate/clean criminal record and be approved by the authorities.
