The Integrated Projects group is looking for a Senior/Principal Integration Engineer. The office is located in Kristiansand, but we welcome applicants from other locations of Norway.

You will provide guidance and leadership to internal stakeholders and be recognised as an expert in your field of systems engineering and layout solutions. You will oversee the research, development and design of engineering projects for the company and ensure that NOV maintains a leading position in the market segment with a focus on quality, safety, environmental friendliness and cost effective solutions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                        

• Manage engineering tasks such as research and system design. 
• Provide technical design concepts taking into account cost competitiveness, market differentiators, new technology advances and risk.
• Provide expert advice and mentoring within the discipline to ensure efficient achievement of objectives. 
• Implement process improvements and provide guidance on standardisation.
• Follow up and liaise with suppliers and customers on the technical side.
• Contribute to the definition of departmental objectives and the preparation of implementation plans in conjunction with your manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant engineering discipline (essential)
• Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (desirable)
• Advanced knowledge of complex systems in your area of specialisation, industry standards and practices and applicable regulations.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 9 years of experience in the industry (essential)
• Good understanding of construction methods, procedures and design constraints (essential)
• Strong experience with compliance, standards, codes and regulations (essential)
• Substantial systems engineering experience in the area of specialisation (essential)

SKILLS, TRAINING OR EXPERTISE:

• Strong knowledge of systems engineering (essential)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks or Inventor (essential)
• Fluent in English (essential) and in Norwegian (desirable)
