Senior BI Developer

Some of the things you will be accountable for

• Collaborating closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and craft scalable BI solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies.
  
• Developing ETL processes, data pipelines, and data models to meet the demands of business analytics and reporting.
  
• Leveraging Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL Database, and other Azure services to streamline data workflows, ensuring efficient extraction, transformation, and loading.
  
• Crafting and implementing data models, data warehouses, and semantic layers to facilitate user-friendly self-service BI and ad-hoc reporting.
  
• Identifying, designing, and implementing process enhancements to optimize data delivery.
  
• Crafting complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to manipulate and aggregate data for reporting and analysis.
• Fine-tuning the performance and scalability of BI solutions by proactively addressing performance bottlenecks.
  
• Providing comprehensive training and support to end-users on BI tools, best practices, and data governance principles.
  
• Working closely with the team, particularly the front-end analyst, to ensure seamless data integration and delivery for creating reports, dashboards, and other visualizations.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred but not required.
  
• Several years of experience in BI and data technology, preferably as a consultant.
  
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
  
• Expertise with Microsoft's Data Platform, including Azure.
  
• Advanced knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling, encompassing the conception and implementation of fact and dimension tables.
  
• Proven experience in designing and creating SQL database objects such as tables, user-defined functions, views, stored procedures, indexes, and triggers.
  
• Fluent proficiency in both Norwegian and English languages.
