IT Operations Manager

IT Operations is responsible for all applications and IT services in Aker BP. IT Operations is vital to the IT & Data Excellence function within the Digital Execution & Technology business units in Aker BP. We are responsible for competency, services, and resources as an excellence function.

We are looking for a leader with a strong passion and commitment for people and leadership. You will have four leaders reporting to you and be part of the leadership team in IT & Data Excellence. As a leader for this function, you will be responsible for 50+ highly competent people while collaborating with 100+ companies, including shaping and developing our core operating model with our partner TietoEvry.

Typical work tasks can be:

• Building identity, shaping the organisation and developing the people within your high-performing teams.
• Contributing towards Aker BP overall digital strategy through interactions with the business, while at the same time making sure the strategy is adopted and translated into actions within your function.
• Driving excellence within IT Operations through optimizing work methodology, processes, and frameworks.
• Simplifying, enhancing, and driving collaboration among people within and outside your function, partners and other external vendors.
• Planning and prioritizing, facilitating and removing obstacles for your teams.

Skills and qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' of management experience (delivery, team and/or personnel management)
• Preferably 5 years' experience with applications and IT infrastructure in larger enterprises and in collaboration with a professional service provider.
• Knowledge and experience in coaching and developing teams and individuals.
• Team-oriented person who can work both at a strategic and operational level.
• Ability to secure decisions and anchoring with stakeholders internally and externally, with a commercial mindset.
• Tackles demanding goals enthusiastically and proactively act on opportunities.
• Fluent/good abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
