Junior Financial Controller - Interesting role in a growing company

Interesting role in a growing company in an international group 

We are looking for a structured and analytical person with a knowledge of accounting standards and reporting requirements who wants to develop further in the role of financial controller in our Nordic organization. You will be a central contributor to many different processes in both Norway, Sweden and Denmark. You will work closely with the other teams in the region and report to the CFO.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Prepare the accounting entries
• Prepare the accounting reconciliations
• Participate to the monthly closing process
• Prepare reports to the Group, following internal reporting procedures
• Carry out the necessary analysis to better understand and monitor the legal entities’ financial metrics
• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports to external stakeholders
• Ensure the application of the Group’s internal control framework and local internal procedures
• Provide support to auditors when it is needed
• Contribute to reply to ad hoc requests for information, presentations, or analyses from the Management
• Back up team members when necessary
• Contribute to the improvement of the team’s processes

Training, experience

• Academic degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent
• Experience from Auditing, Financial Services, Banking, Insurance or similar (at least 2-3 years)

Personal skills required

• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented
• Self-organized, with strong ability to anticipate, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a complex environment with stakeholders from various areas
• Good skills in Microsoft office tools (in particular Excel)
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
