Property Underwriter in Business Area Industrial

In Business Area Industrial we are around 350 employees providing tailored global insurance solutions to many of the largest companies in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Our Property Underwriting unit is responsible for underwriting all types of property damage and business interruption insurance for Norwegian and Nordic companies and their operations abroad.

About the role

Deep knowledge of risks is a key factor in this role, both in terms of running successful businesses and building a stable society. You will be handling complex and interesting risks and contribute to create the best solutions and experiences for our customers. You will assess customer exposures, design insurance programs, and calculate premiums as well as negotiate with clients and brokers.

Our Nordic property team consists of 35 great colleagues of which eight are in our Norwegian team. Further you have;

• A degree at university level or equivalent, preferably within engineering / technical disciplines
• Experience from working in construction/erection projects
• Some knowledge of CAR/EAR insurance (and property insurance in general)
• Experience as an underwriter, however experience from claims handling, risk management, product & price or analytics is also very relevant
• Excellent English and Norwegian language skills
