Join our team as the Director of Sales & Marketing, where you will spearhead growth initiatives, collaborate closely with international cross-functional teams, and lead a talented sales force. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning sales objectives with broader company goals, ensuring seamless coordination and synergy between different functional areas.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Continuously develop and implement strategies to achieve growth objectives in existing and new geographic markets and industries
- Lead the sales team, including recruitment, training, motivation, and performance evaluation
- Plan, administer, and monitor the sales budget to ensure cost-effective sales activities and achievement of sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international sales offices and partners to ensure effective collaboration and implementation of the sales strategy
- Monitor market trends and customer needs to adapt the sales strategy and product offerings accordingly
- Sourcing and preparing necessary technical documentation and materials to create targeted marketing content tailored to various markets, products, and audiences
- Collaborate closely with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment of sales strategy with company goals and sustainability initiatives
- Ensure sales processes and practices comply with laws, regulations, and industry standards, including sustainability-related guidelines
- Regularly report results, forecasts, and key performance indicators to management
- Actively participate in negotiations with major customers, partners, and suppliers to secure profitable agreements and long-term business relationships
- Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes, systems, and tools to increase the efficiency and productivity of the sales team and support the company's growth goals
Desired qualifications:
- Experience in international sales in the industrial sector, with an understanding of the value chain
- Demonstrated success in profit and loss responsibility, and effective budget management skills
- Proven history in developing and implementing growth strategies for existing and new markets
- Leadership experience in managing sales teams
- Effective relationship-building skills with international customers, sales offices and partners
- Adaptability to analyse market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly
- Experience in sourcing technical documentation for targeted marketing content
- Understanding of legal and regulatory compliance in sales practices
- Analytical ability to report results and key performance indicators to management
- Negotiation skills to secure profitable agreements and long-term relationships
- Focus on continuous improvement of sales processes and systems
- Higher education is desired

Proficiency in English is required, and proficiency in Norwegian considered advantageous. The role will involve international travel, but daily workplace is located in Holmestrand.
The Director of Sales & Marketing is a member of the local management team, collaborating closely with various departments along the value chain. The Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for managing sales and marketing activities specifically for the Holmestrand production plant, and you will report to the Plant Manager.
