Energy Transition Study Manager

Wood is seeking a talented and enthusiastic “Energy Transition - Study Manager” to join our Norway Consulting team in Stavanger or Oslo.

Your role will be a leadership position within Wood and involve in-depth cooperation with our global System Matter Experts (SME). You will become familiar with the Wood’s global competence and become the focal point for Energy Transition in our Norway Consulting team.

The Energy Transition Study Manager will be:

• Leading the delivery of Energy Transition projects / scopes of work from the Wood office in Stavanger or Oslo
• Developing the engineering team and assisting transfer of knowledge from conventional engineering to renewables / energy transition.
• Mentoring and coaching junior engineers in all engineering related topics. 
• Assisting with developing strategic relationships with clients to proactively build consultancy opportunities.
• Assisting with winning and delivering consultancy services.
• Keeping up to date with industry best practices, publications.
• Driving excellence in the execution and delivery of activities.

To be successful in this role, the following skills and experience will include:

• Ability to demonstrate initiative, tenacity and have excellent communication skills.
• Master/Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline 
• Proven experience (>10 years) in engineering and design and/or operation of energy systems, especially subsea/offshore developments, and be fully familiar with different elements of the energy production chain.
• Proven experience in leading Early Phase Studies (Feasibility, Concept, pre-FEED, FEED), especially with regards to cost and schedule.
• Ability to assist with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
