We are looking for a detail-focused, analytical team player to join us in Bergen as a Know Your Customer Analyst.The successful applicant will join dedicated colleagues on our Business Operations team and play a part in helping secure life, health, environment and property with one of the world’s largest marine and offshore energy insurers.

This position – which can be filled immediately – is based at Norwegian Hull Club’s head office at “Skipet” in Solheimsviken.

The Business Operations team in Bergen office is a dedicated group of over 20 individuals, some right out of further education and others with 30+ years of experience in the industry. If you enjoy working in an international environment, we have people from 18 different countries at The Club. Responsibilities

The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting internal teams when they have Know Your Customer (KYC) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering)-related questions and issues. The role also involves assessing KYC and AML screening results. A keen eye for detail is also required, with the position involving identifying and flagging up unusual circumstances that may call for further investigation, as well as staying up-to-date on relevant AML regulations and other market trends.

The position will also involve:

  • Contributing to regular procedure reviews;
  • Helping to develop other relevant AML-related compliance matters;
  • Contributing to a positive and knowledge-sharing team culture;
  • Cooperating with stakeholders across the organisation.

Preferred qualifications and experience

Our preferred candidates possess relevant professional experience but industry experience is not a requirement. They will also have:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree;
  • Experience in Anti-Money Laundering /Know Your Customer-related processes, ideally from a financial institution;
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian;
  • A highly analytical approach with strong attention to detail;
  • Good problem-solving skills;
  • The ability to collaborate and interact successfully with different departments in the organisation;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
