We leverage advanced geophysical modeling techniques to assess the viability of our technologies in hydrocarbon production and CO2 sequestration initiatives. Moreover, we collaborate closely with our clients, facilitating the seamless integration of our measurement data into their subsurface and reservoir models.

As the domains requiring Reach Subsea's geophysical expertise expand, we are committed to reinforcing our geoscience team in Bergen.

Role and Responsibilities: You will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary geoscience team. Your responsibilities will encompass some of the following key areas:

  • Data Processing: Focusing on evaluating uncertainties and optimizing sensor performance.
  • Modeling: Conducting subsurface modeling to evaluate the suitability of Reach Subsea's technologies at specific project sites.
  • Research and Development: Working on sensor package optimization for subsea operations and refining data processing routines.
  • History matching: Assisting clients in the effective integration of Reach Subsea's measurement data into their reservoir models.
  • Communication: Sharing results and findings with clients and participating in technical and scientific forums.
  • Stay Updated: Keeping abreast of relevant technology developments internally and externally.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A MSc or PhD in Geophysics, Physics or a related discipline.
  • Good programming skills.

Personal Skills: In addition to your qualifications, you should:

  • Thrive in a collaborative environment, working seamlessly with a diverse team.
  • Be proficient in English to effectively communicate your findings.
  • Possess physical intuition and curiosity to drive innovation.
  • Excel at conveying your discoveries and their implications, both orally and in writing.
