North Retail is looking for a Country Manager/Sales Director for the Norwegian market. You are passionate about retail, and have extensive knowledge and understanding of the Norwegian retail market. You have experience in cooperating with the Norwegian retailers, and can provide a succesful track record.

You are Norwegian and located in Norway (ideally in Oslo).  

On the basis of a thorough understanding of the market, North Retail is developing food concepts and products for the retail market. We work with all retailers in Denmark, to whom we supply products within several different food categories. Primarily to the private label of the retailers.

We are growing rapidly, and the focus is on having the foundation to continue this growth journey for years to come.

As a Country Manager/Sales Director you will have the complete sales responsibility for the Norwegian market.

It will be your task to build a strong cooperation with the retailers in Norway. Based on a solid category and market understanding, you will present value-adding product solutions to our retail partners in Norway.

From Denmark you will be supported by our sourcing team, who will help provide the best possible solutions for you to present on the Norwegian market. Furthermore, all back-office functions (order handling, etc.) will be taken care of in Denmark, so your sole focus will be relationship-building and sales.

You possess a strong drive and entrepreneurial approach to business. You make things happen, and you are motivated by it being your initiative and curiosity that create the foundation for the success of tomorrow.

You have previous experience from the Norwegian retail market. Either as a Category Manager of one of the major retailers or from a role of sales manager/KAM at a supplier.

You will be joining a company with a culture of constant drive and focus on improving our approach to create maximum value for our retail customers.

The atmosphere is relaxed, easy-going and with a high degree of freedom with responsibility.


Work tasks and area of responsibility:                        

  • Customer dialogue.

You will be the contact of the Norwegian retailers.

  • Relationship building

To establish North Retail in Norway, and create the foundation of a fast expansion, establishing a strong relationship with the retailers is paramount.

In Denmark, we always focus on a value-adding dialogue based on a good understanding of the market and the category of the retailers.

From Denmark, you will be assisted in all product-related and sourcing matters.   

  • Cooperation with the Danish head office (based close to Aarhus/Billund).

From Denmark you will have complete support on all projects. Our sourcing team has a strong understanding of the categories and the requirements of the retail market.

From here, we will be able to find the right solutions for you and the Norwegian market.

A close cooperation with the Danish office is important. Both in terms of sourcing, logistics, and product development.

If you have the abilities, this is a unique opportunity to build the Norwegian branch of North Retail.


Professtional and personal competences:

  • Entrepreneurial and a strong drive.
  • Ability to execute effectively.
  • Good at establishing relationships.
  • Team player. We are a small team of 9 people in Denmark, and a good cooperation with the Danish office is necessary to succeed in the role.
  • A solid understanding and experience of the Norwegian retail market.
  • Experience from the role of Category Manager of a Norwegian retailer or from the position of Sales Manager/KAM for a supplier to the Norwegian retailers.
  • Norwegian and native Norwegian speaker.
  • Fluent in English.
  • A relevant education.
