About the role 

Join us as our new IT Project Manager, in Stavanger, Norway, serving within our Project & Program Manager community. 

This is a high-impact position that will allow you to have a significant effect on strategic IT projects in a global business. The initial project for this role will be to drive the implementation of a new global ERP system. This will allow you to have the opportunity to collaborate with many business units across the organization and around the globe. 

As a vital bridge between technical experts and non-technical stakeholders, you will adeptly facilitate a clear understanding of challenges and tasks for all involved. 

Some of what you will be doing 

- Lead and manage medium to large, high-visibility, high-impact IT projects ensuring initiatives meet expectations and align with Laerdal’s strategic goals and objectives 

- Work with project executives to define clear objectives while maintaining a focus on timely delivery of value 

- Create and maintain project and delivery plans to track progress milestones and hold stakeholders engaged 

- Actively manage risks and project vulnerabilities 

- Continuously evaluate day-to-day activities and processes to be leaner; eliminating waste, improving quality, and delivering value 

- Assist in assembling the appropriate people, processes, and tools to improve team efficiency and effectiveness 

- Actively participate in the global Project & Program Manager community, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge by bringing forward best practice

A balance between traditional project management principles and Agile development approach is crucial to fit the project's requirements. 

Desired qualifications: 

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline; Evidence of exceptional experience can replace formal education 

- 5-8 years’ experience in IT system implementation project management is essential 

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to visualize and present data to create transparency and foster effective decision making 

- Ability to develop state-of the art project management tools and methodologies 

- Experience with transition and change management principles
