The position

By joining our team in CFO Functional Center of Excellence you will have the opportunity to support two of Equinor's onshore assets: Sture oil terminal and Tjeldbergodden methanol plant. You will collaborate closely with the assets environmental engineers, asset management and operative and technical personnel, to build an proactive environmental management system that promotes continuous improvement.

Typical tasks may include:

  • Support, advise and challenge asset management within environmental management.
  • Be up-to-date on environmental regulations, requirements and applicable standards relevant for Sture and Tjeldbergodden.
  • Support asset management in environmental permit follow-up.
  • Prepare authority applications and other documentation, including reporting to the authorities.
  • Develop and improve environmental monitoring programs. 
  • Plan and execute measurement campaigns related to emissions and environmental monitoring. 
  • Be up-to-date on operational conditions and contribute to better environmental efficiency and reaching ambitious targets.
  • Support and advise asset management in climate and environmental risk evaluations, and follow up risk as part of integrated risk management.
  • Participate in environmental improvement projects and verifications.

You

  • A Master's Degree in a relevant subject such as Natural Sciences, Environmental Management or Engineering. A Bachelor's Degree will also be considered if accompanied by additional experience. 
  • Previous experience of working in an Oil & Gas or Production environment, or of working in Sustainability or a similiarly regulated environment. 
  • A proficient communicator, able to advise and influence both senior and operational colleagues. 
  • The ability to plan and organise your own day and workload, with attention to detail for reporting and data. 
  • The ability to read, write and speak effectively in Norwegian. 
  • An interest and dedication to sustainability and Equinor's strategy.

Operative experience from onshore plants and/or environmental management competence will be considered an advantage.

Candidates that are able to work from one of the assets Sture or Tjeldbergodden will be preferred, but candidates from other locations are also encouraged to apply (travel must be expected).
