Purpose of the position
We deliver communication solutions to the offshore market based on the Starlink product. This role will contribute to integrating new technology into our solutions so that we always deliver timely solutions to our customers.

Main responsibility and tasks

Contribute to the design of satellite solutions as an integrated part of Tampnet’s portfolio, including but not limited to, routers, switches, portals, firewalls, access points.
Design and improvements of the satellite solutions and network infrastructure.
3. line technical support and transfer competency to the operations team
Provide technical support to the sales team throughout the sales-cycle including where necessary, customer visits.
Collaborate with the various technical verticals such as LoS, Optical, Mobile, MPLS and Subsea Fibre.
Monitor overall network performance and initiate projects to improve network monitoring and Operational Support Systems (OSS)
Provide technical assistance to Service Delivery team before and during implementations.
Documentation of solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or master’s in computer science, Telematics, engineering or similar.
Long relevant experience and/or additional qualifications can compensate for lack of relevant formal education.
Minimum 3 years' experience in network systems, preferably offshore communications environment.
Good written and verbal English language skills. Norwegian is considered an asset.

Analytical skills in troubleshooting communications networks
Flexible and possess good collaborative skills
Ability to cope with a high pace of work in a hectic environment.
Structured, able to work independently.
Willingness to travel when needed.
