Senior Engineer / Technical Lead - Integration GCS

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Senior Engineer / Technical Lead in Integration - GCS Engineering and System at Kongsberg Maritime, reporting to Operations Manager of Integration Global Customer Support (GCS).

We deliver upgrade, retrofit, refit and conversion solutions to existing vessels and installations within the Offshore, Energy, LNG, Merchant, and Naval segment. We also undertake maintenance projects and power by the hour service contracts. Our deliveries consist of products from the entire Kongsberg Maritime product portfolio. Success is dependent on an effective systems integration engineering; thorough execution plans and good focus on overall progress.

Responsibilities:

• Act as lead engineer in Integrated projects.
• Hardware engineering for Kongsberg Maritime products and order hardware to project deliveries.
• Maintain and develop technical documentation and drawings.
• Provide Technical sales Support.
• Coordinate technical solution across different products within delivery projects.
• Support classification related tasks.
• Assist project manager in daily tasks and follow-up project plans/deliveries.
• Close cooperation with other departments, e.g. sales department, product department and local offices globally.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor or technical college degree in electro, system engineering or other relevant education.
• 8-10 years working experience in technical discipline.
• Extensive knowledge within maritime delivery projects and products is an advantage.
• Fluent English communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to travel as required.
