Are you passionate about banking and finance?

We are now seeking a lawyer for our Oslo office, mainly to serve loan finance, syndications and structured finance, but also to fill a role in legal issues in a day-to-day basis in a financial environment. You will report to the Head of Legal in Oslo and be a part of a larger legal team which also includes lawyers in Sweden, Latvia and Finland, including Swedbank AB’s Group Legal function consisting of some 90 lawyers. 

 In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

• Work on a wide range of legal questions arising in a branch of a large Nordic bank, with a particular focus on credit matters and LMA loan documentation. 
• Work in close cooperation with the business areas to further develop your knowledge of lending to professional corporates and institutions.
• Be part of a legal team of 2 persons in Norway, and a larger Nordic legal team, both in C&I Legal and Swedbank Group Legal.

The ideal candidate for the job has:

• A Norwegian law degree (Master level or similar).
• A minimum of two years relevant experience gained from a reputable law firm and/or as an in-house counsel within the areas of loans, credits and syndications.
• Good knowledge of LMA based loan documentation and sustainable finance. Knowledge of regulatory matters, restructuring and derivatives will also be valued.
• The ability to work independently with different tasks on several projects.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills (Norwegian and English), and a distinct sense of service.
