Telecom / Telecom Senior Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to work with detail engineering in a large project for an unmanned operated offshore wind substation (HVDC) within the telecom discipline.

The right candidate will join a major green field project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design in a HVDC converter station and personal skills in a large international project-working environment.

Typical tasks:

Define and specify design solutions for required telecom sub systems.
Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation.
Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client.
Develop engineering documents and update data registers.
Participate in relevant test activities, workshops and reviews.
Site support to fabrication yard

Required Education:

Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education.
Ex course
FSE course

Required Work Experience:

Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
Minimum 5 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas or wind projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.
Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as
NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.

Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous.
