At DN Media Group, we work to create products and solutions that allow our journalism to shine and give the reader the insight they need to make better decisions.

As a Frontend Developer for our Editorial Core team, you work at the heart of the company. Your product team is responsible for how we present our journalism digitally, how we excel in digital storytelling, personalize the experience and create smarter ways to consume news. You will build solutions for ten different publications who are market leaders within their sectors; shipping, seafood, energy, and business news. Across our titles we have more than 3,5 million visits every week, which means that a lot of people will benefit from what you work on every day!

In your new job, you will be responsible for building components to add to our internal library, continuously focusing on performance optimization and you will be working closely with our Analytics and Product Departments. If this sounds interesting, here are some more details:

 


Your strategic role:

  • The opportunity to coach other colleagues on what the best practices are when doing component and integration testing
  • Be part of the team that works at the very core of what we deliver


Your day-to-day:

  • Maintenance of existing Vue library
  • Setup of unit tests and integration tests
  • Configuring Storybook for visual and interaction tests
  • Contribution to professional development
  • Performance optimization
  • Writing and maintaining the necessary documentation
  • Collaborate with other team members, including backend developers, designers, and product management.

 

Your background:

  • Expertise and knowledge of CSS and HTML with a focus on WCAG and SEO.
  • Good competence in JavaScript, especially in Vue.js 3.
  • Experience with JavaScript for unit testing and integration testing.
  • Knowledge of Storybook for component testing and documentation.
