We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Buyer / Package Responsible Buyer. This position will be based in Bergen, and includes responsibilities such as executing procurement activities in compliance with prevailing regulations, policies, plans, and agreements, as well as developing negotiation strategies to minimize risk. You will also be identifying and assessing alternative suppliers for equipment, materials, and services. 


Other work tasks will include:

  • Preparing ITT documents and conducting tender evaluations and negotiations.

  • Taking responsibility for contract formation.

  • Processing purchase requisitions authorized by engineering.

  • Acting as the main point of contact for commercial discussions with suppliers.

  • Collaborating closely with PRE, fabrication coordinators, QHSE, cost control, and other internal stakeholders.

  • Monitoring procurement reporting and maintain a clear formal audit trail.

  • Coordinating supplier quality surveillance.

  • Ensuring timely delivery of all required documentation.

  • Managing VORs (Variations of Requirements) from suppliers, including risk management, interface, budget, reporting, and approvals.

  • Ensuring the completion of procurement packages, including final account reconciliation and knowledge transfer/lessons learned activities.

  • Performing other relevant tasks as delegated by Project Managers and Project Procurement Managers.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of contracting and procurement processes is essential.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is advantageous.

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English.

  • Awareness of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) principles.
