Senior Purchaser

We are seeking a Senior Purchaser who will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our purchasing processes align with our company values and targets. Your responsibilities will include providing essential information for strategic decision-making, optimizing purchasing through effective agreements and supplier benchmarking, and collaborating closely with all departments to enhance project efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing essential information
Optimize purchasing processes through effective agreements and supplier benchmarking
Collaborate closely with all departments to enhance project efficiency
Drive process improvement throughout the company
Facilitate competency enhancement for purchasing team members
Ensure adherence to HSE procedures and actively seek opportunities for improvement

Key Duties:

Act as the main contact point for suppliers
Accountable for all RFQs issued by the company.
Negotiate and maintain supplier contracts
Plan and conduct supplier reviews and revisions
Follow up with suppliers in both the short and long term
Establish and follow up on orders with assistance from purchasing assistants
Process and certify invoices

Requirements:

Financial background - College degree or equivalent, preferably in economics or related field
Strong technical comprehension required, skilled in interpreting and analyzing technical documentation."
Contract negotiation experience and a general understanding of contracts
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical teams
Strong organizational skills and the ability to drive structure in projects
Proficiency in English (written and spoken), Norwegian language skills are a plus
Profound ERP knowledge, preferably with experience in D365
