We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for our headquarters in Bergen. Our global team of Technical Sales Engineers work closely with internal and external customers by defining technical requirements and designing system solutions that meet the customer’s expectations. As a Technical Sales Engineer, your role will extend beyond ordinary sales duties, as you will actively contribute to shaping the department’s future. You will play a crucial role in strengthening processes and work with the implementation of digital tools to empower the organization in addressing its future requirements.

You will report to the Team Lead Technical Sales Engineering and work closely with all relevant departments in the company. The selected candidate will be given the necessary training to perform her/his job.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • In partnership with sales representative determine the needs of the customer and design solutions to meet their requirements
  • Perform system design simulations and other analysis
  • Provide system designs and other technical content for bids and proposals
  • Overcome technical obstacles to capture and close new business
  • Prepare documentation packages for internal and external customers
  • Actively obtain and further develop a high level of technical understanding and hands- on knowledge of the company’s product portfolio.
  • Interact with customers providing guidance on product integration options
  • Provide input on the market needs and future applications for our products
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the software tools used by the department
  • On request, represent Corvus Energy in customer meetings, either independently or as part of the Corvus team

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • 0-5 years’ work experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering subject is required
  • Relevant work experience can compensate for the lack of an official degree
  • Experience in electrical system design and system integration is an advantage
  • Experience using MS Office, Excel and SketchUp is an advantage
  • Detail-oriented personality type, self-starter, structured, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • English and Norwegian fluency
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Drive and flexibility to fit in with a growing company
