Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions is now looking for a Senior Structural Engineer 2D/3D with experience from onshore or offshore projects. The project is lead from Trondheim.

Position Responsibilities:

• Concept and layout development of structures (including 3D model start-up procedures).
• 3D modelling and design development.
• Multidiscipline interaction.
• Preparation of 2D structural drawings / extraction of 2D structural drawings from 3D model.

• Relevant technical education – Bachelor’s in Engineering is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in all phases of the project.
• Experience from modification projects in the offshore industry, preferably from the North Sea.
• Good knowledge of E3D.
• General computer technology and experience from structural design is mandatory.
• Experience from performing site-surveys.
• Good knowledge of making fabrication drawings including cutting sketches and nesting files.
• Knowledge of governing regulations and standards.
• Skilled in Navisworks.
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both verbally and written language.
