Department for Instrumentation in Oslo, located in Asker, is looking to strengthen the team with new Senior Field Instrumentation Engineers. You will play an important part in designing and specifying Instrumentation systems solutions and strategies for engineering projects in concept, study and detail phases. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned operated Oil & Gas topsides, High Voltage substations, electrification projects and hydrogen facilities.

About the position

In this role, you’ll be the technical authority, responsible for one or more instrument procurement packages, ensuring the seamless follow-up of supplier deliveries. You may also have the opportunity to lead Field Instrumentation in certain projects. Your expertise will guide the selection of instruments based on their application, and you’ll develop innovative instrumentation philosophies and solutions to meet project requirements. Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Develop Technical Requisitions for procurement of instruments
  • Participate in multidiscipline design and review activities
  • Participate in and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews related to field instrumentation
  • Participate in developing/improving working methods through digital tools
  • Interface with other disciplines, contractors and client

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience from years with the technical qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in field instrumentation, metering and control valves within greenfield O&G projects
  • Knowledge of design and configuration compliant with NORSOK, DNV, ATEX, ISO, IEC standards
  • Ability to understand and implement new standards
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
