Quantafuel – Join Our Mission to Engineer a Sustainable Future!

We are searching for creative and talented process engineers, at all levels, to strengthen our team. If you have a passion for leading edge innovation and the desire to drive projects that make a tangible impact on the environment, we want you!

Our Vision:

At Quantafuel, we're not just engineering – we're engineering change. Our collaborative team is pioneering chemical recycling of plastic waste, a mission endorsed by the UN as a crucial step towards a greener planet. Join us as we partner with industry giants in chemistry, oil, and gas to build a future where waste is not an end, but a new beginning.

Key Responsibilities

Quantafuel is a technology-driven company and process engineers play a central role in the close collaboration between Engineering, Operation and R&D, which is essential for driving our technology forward. Tasks and responsibilities will be adjusted to match the qualifications and experience of the right applicant. The opportunities are multifaceted including plant modifications, green field projects, operational support, and technology developments. Below are potential responsibilities for the position:

  • Collaborate with Operations and R&D to develop technology and improve production performance.
  • Drive forward both first-of-its-kind PTL (plastic to liquids) modification projects and new greenfield projects, each offering unique challenges and opportunities for impact. Below a few examples:
  • Improvement projects: Act as a process engineer or step into the role of Project Lead or Test Lead for specific projects of a larger improvement portfolio. This means you’ll coordinate process tasks and/or across disciplines, breaking new ground for plant innovation.
  • Operational Solutions: Tackle operational challenges head-on, analyzing and evaluating solutions to enhance plant efficiency. This is crucial in providing operational support, streamlining processes, and implementing cutting-edge technology alternatives.
  • Green field technical lead: As the process engineer or technical lead for FEED, EPC, or other specific studies, your contribution will lay the groundwork for the next generation PTL plants.
  • Represent process discipline in multi-discipline reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, and design reviews.
  • Follow-up and control of process-related work done by contractors and suppliers.
  • Contribute to improvements and innovations within the process department, e.g. workflows, tools and competency.
  • Traditional process engineering work such as simulations, datasheets, PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, process control systems, and sizing calculations for lines, valves, and equipment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree (MSc or BSc) in a relevant field of engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Flexibility to travel and work when required by projects.
  • Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language, both spoken and written.

Who You Are:

Your innovative spirit and positive outlook are matched by a proactive approach and the ability to present complex concepts with clarity and simplicity.

  • Agile, business-driven, and caring – embodying our core values.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactivity: A self-starter who anticipates needs, identifies potential issues before they arise, and takes charge of situations to drive positive outcomes.

Our Offer:

  • A stimulating role at the forefront of environmental technology.
  • A dynamic, supportive, and inclusive work environment.
  • Career growth and development opportunities in a crucial, sustainable industry.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A harmonious work/life balance.

Your application will be a step towards joining a forward-thinking company committed to reducing the environmental impact of plastic waste and creating valuable recycled chemical products.
