About the Position
Due to continued increased activity in the summer months, we are looking for a Junior Ship Agent at our office in Tromsø. You will be assisting with the daily operations during the busy summer months.
This is an entry level role, and you will be learning the many aspects of the position. Digital and on-site training will be provided to help you achieve operational independence, and you will be supporting operations early on.
This position is open to anyone who is sensitive to internal and external customer needs and is excited by the idea of applying this passion in an international, diverse, and inclusive environment. Much of the duties of these positions do require physical presence, thus we are unfortunately unable to open these opportunities to accommodate those that need or want to work remotely.
Daily Tasks
After adequate training, you will support operations and company strategy while performing the following tasks:
- Documentation and clearance of ships upon arrival and departure
- Communication with all involved parties during ships’ port calls
- Coordinating and arranging crew change and husbandry services
- Providing logistics services
- Miscellaneous tasks such as cost control and invoicing for services provided
Other Job details
- Most tasks can be completed during regular work hours; however, we provide 24/7/365 service and there will be periods of higher workload as well as work during irregular times
