Senior Engineer - Compressor System Design

On behalf of our client we are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with expertise in detail engineering, particularly in overseeing the integration of a new feed gas compressor package into an established onshore LNG plant. This project is currently in the midst of the detail engineering phase, and we require someone experienced in managing the complexity of working closely with a centrifugal compressor vendor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow up the compressor vendor (seal gas, seal gas failure report, utilities, compressor curves, torque, vendor P&IDs, line list, valve list, interfaces etc.)
• Follow up HAZOP actions from compressor vendor HAZOP
• Follow up compressor sequences (start-up/shut-down etc.)
• Travelling to the compressor vendor site if required
• General support for the main process group

Required Education:

• MSc or BSc with required experience

Required Work Experience:

• Minimum 8 years working experience from engineering (FEED and/or detail engineering)
• Working experience with Greenfield or Brownfield projects on NCS or Norwegian onshore O&G facilities
• Detail knowledge in NCS requirements (NORSOK, Ptil/PSA)
• Detail knowledge of Equinor requirements is preferred
• Detail knowledge of compressor systems
• Experience with follow-up of a centrifugal compressor vendor

• Multidiscipline understanding
• Good communication skills
• Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
• Be proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
• Communicate well in English – both oral and in writing
