Job Description
PALFINGER Marine Norway is strengthen up the engineering capacity and is therefore looking for strong technical candidates to join our mechanical discipline. With us you will participate in developing state-of-the-art and reliable products for the future. We are seeking for highly motivated and skilled mechanical engineers to join our great engineering team. With us, you will have responsibility for mechanical design of our steel structures and components. You will play a vital role in delivering projects to our customers.
In PALFINGER we care about R&D, engineering, production, and service of our products in the aftermarket. You will be part of a highly skilled team of colleagues with different nationalities and strong technical and/or academic skills. You will have the opportunity to cooperate and share knowledge with colleagues across nations. You will have the opportunity to push boundaries and to explore new opportunities. Work tasks will be:
- Mechanical design of steel structures, assemblies, or components
- Preparation and checking of technical documentation and drawings according to internal procedures, customer requirements, and standards
- Support Project department with technical documentation covering the mechanical scope for structures, assemblies and components for the project
- Clarify technical engineering related issues with suppliers and producers
- Cooperate with colleagues from other disciplines
- Provide technical support to Service department for service assignment or commissioning
Qualifications
- MSc or BSc degree in mechanical engineering or closely related disciplines
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering - preferably experience in development and production of cranes or other marine handling equipment for lifting appliances
- Practical use of 3D design tools such as Autodesk Inventor or similar
- PLM/PDM experience will be a plus
- Good English skills written and spoken
- Excellent cooperation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
