Schibsted Media is the leading digital media division in Scandinavia and consists of a broad portfolio of brands such as VG, Aftenposten, E24, Bergens Tidende, Stavanger Aftenblad, Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet and Omni. In addition, Schibsted’s news division has several digital niche products, with the podcast platform Podme among them. As a result of one of our colleagues seeking new opportunities outside Schibsted, we are currently seeking a talented and motivated Business Controller to join our dynamic team. You will be part of an environment characterized by high levels of engagement and expertise, and you will be exposed to various parts within the company. You will be part of a team that will:

• Act as a proactive and outgoing sparring partner to the business.

• Analyze the development of various initiatives and strategic initiatives.

• Deliver reporting activities including monthly and quarterly reporting, rolling forecasts, and goal setting.

• Represent finance in various projects and/or management groups across the organization.

• Support management with analyses in various decision-making processes and other ad-hoc tasks.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in finance, business controlling, or similar.

• Documented results from similar tasks (profitability programs, project follow-up, KPIs, etc.).

• Understanding and interest in financial systems and BI solutions.

• Good communication skills, able to adapt financial language to a wide range of stakeholders.

• Interest and understanding of the media industry and our social responsibility.

• High degree of independence and execution capability.

• Good understanding of complex organizational structures and business models.

• Higher education (Bachelor's or Master's level).
